We need your insights to help us understand the needs of Australian Arabic-speaking people and their interest in participating in cancer clinical trials.
We are launching a study called Healthcare professionals’ perspectives on the barriers and enablers of cancer clinical trial participation in the Australian Arabic-speaking community.
Culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities are significantly under-represented in clinical research. This makes it difficult to understand the effectiveness of new and potentially life-saving treatments in these communities.
At Cancer Symptoms Trials (CST), our goal is to increase the participation of CALD community members in cancer clinical trials with a view to improving health outcomes for all Australians.
We know that Arabic-speaking Australians make up a significant part of our community, with Arabic being the third most-spoken language in Australia. That is why the Australian Arabic-speaking community is a priority focus for us.
If you are a healthcare professional (clinical specialist, general practitioner, nurse, Allied health professional, medical interpreter or researcher) working with adults with cancer from the Arabic-speaking community in Australia, we’d love to hear from you.
